what it means to fall apart is a new transformative music composition project that captures the essence of human emotion and consists of a vocalist, string quartet, live electronics, responsive lighting, and live video projection. The piece is a multi-movement work that draws on a hodgepodge of text from numerous sources, including poetry, blogs, and safety manuals, to create a postmodern absurdist experience that grapples with the humor and terror of "falling apart."
